One of the purposes of the NDCA is to recognize, honor, and award people in our profession, both past and present, who have made a lasting impact on the dance team community.
Recipients of the Hall of Fame award are coaches, retirees, and/or dance team associates such as judges, consultants, or choreographers. Each Hall of Fame recipient has served at least ten years in the profession and has developed a successful dance team program at his/her level (high school, college, all star) and in his/her area (coaching, judging, choreography, etc.) The work of each recipient below also extended into their wider dance team community through activities such as teaching, mentoring, participating in coaches’ associations, consulting, and/or speaking. NDCA Hall of Fame inductees are dance team professionals who have had a profound impact on the development of dance team outside their immediate sphere of influence.
Each recipient below was nominated by someone who was inspired by them. This person would have completed a nomination form. All Hall of Fame nominee forms are then reviewed by a Hall of Fame Selection Committee - a committee comprised of Executive Board Team Members, District Representatives, previous recipients, and current NDCA members. Hall of Fame inductees are awarded annually at the NDCA Conference Gala & Awards Ceremony.
